musings, rantings and links

Every four years I get pretty fired up about one thing - presidential politics. Problem is I live overseas and have for the past two elections so it's hard to find others who share my passion and are willing to talk on and on about it. Solution: a new blog! A place to put my thoughts, note articles or websites I read and hopefully spark some debate. Hope you like it.

sites to enlighten and enliven the debate

  • Gail Collins - my favorite columnist, she takes all the vitriol out of the race and just makes you laugh - often at yourself
  • Democracy Now! - critical news that goes unreported in the mainstream media
  • Fact Check - great non partisan site to get your facts straight!
  • PolitiFact - another great fact-checking site
  • Politico - site for addicts like me
  • Open Secrets - see where the candidates get their money
  • Columbia Journalism Review - reviews of our ever worrisome media
  • An Evening With... Great interviews with thinkers and innovators often ignored by mainstream media
